HikingGreat!

As you get toward Oak Peak, there are some narrow parts of the path. I went twice last week and there were two parts with bubbling tar pits, which was pretty neat. There was a slight stench in the air from the tar. Part of the way had tar in the middle of the path, but was easily avoidable. I would say about 75% of people I saw were wearing masks.

Extremely hard, 7.0 miles took 5.5 hours, extremely steep and slippery, had to climb rocks several times.

HikingGreat!

A beautiful trail near the city. It has just enough ascents to be a challenging half day hike and the views are a nice reward. We made the hike a bit longer by starting at Taylors Trailhead which feeds into the loop. Not a lot of people on the trail for a Saturday, either. Highly recommend!

Very overgrown but beautiful. Did clockwise. Must have good shoes. Some spots were right on the edge. Also a short part of climbing boulders.
