Tobias Peak Trail is a 7.7 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Posey, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, nature trips, and bird watching and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

Directions from Kernville: Travel 16 miles north on Mtn. 99 to the Fairview footbridge. The trail starts 1/2 mile up from the same trailhead as Flynn Trail.

technically a fire road, I drove up it in my rav4. there's a Denali and LTE up here. Frost just hit, its cloudy but cool at 37 degrees at 1pm. Would drive it for fun again but hiking might not be fun with hunting going on in the area. also, getting here is not for the weak of heart. One lane road from sugarloaf on and dirt after Portuguese pass, passing is interesting and speeds are slow. However, the top is breathtaking.

No this is not a difficult trail at all, its about a quarter mile up to the fire lookout. Its got exellent views if its a clear day
