Hiking

Took this trail again on 11/7/15 and still in good shape other that there is snow towards the top that has knocked down some small trees across the trail. I hiked all the way to Tobias Pk which has a foot of snow

Hiking

This trail is in excellent shape as it was just maintained not that long ago, lots of uphill and it really gets steep once you cross the creek to Sugarloaf Rd which is a paved road. I did this hike from Fairview all the way to Baker Pk and Baker Pt, both peaks have excellent views atop there summits. I would say the one-way mileage is 13 miles

We took this hike with our kids, and it was pretty strenuous. Almost all uphill on the way out. Scenery is fair, but it certainly has an "out in the wilderness" feel once you get over the first hill. Pack lots of water. Some shale on the trail makes it a little treacherous at points. I probably will not do this one again.
