Nice, easy trail with good amount of shade. Lake Schilling is more of a pond.

Easy trail, no one there at 5pm on Friday. Although there were not many redwoods and the lake is more of a swamp. The trail length on my gps was 1.5 out and back.

Short hike, beautiful, quiet and convenient to drive to. Park at the bottom of the park and go upward. I find it easier when I can run down the hill. Met a local once on the trail and she didn't seem happy that too many people were finding about the trail and were leaving trash behind.
