Thorn Point is a 7.2 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Ojai, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until September. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Climb to an old fire lookout in about 4 miles.

very difficult drive to get to trailhead... I don't see how you could do it without 4 wheel drive. Very quiet and hot, but beautiful
I will try it again in the fall when it is cooler.

It is a beautiful hike the terrain is complex. Sandy pine needles pine cone narrow trails. The over look is awesome

Great hike very scenic, for the first 1 mile the trail very mellow, the ascent to the top is challenging. During this mid November hike we encountered 3 mini snow storms. Views from the tower are spectatcular we could see the beach at Oxnard and the Channel Islands.

A pleasant little hike up from the campground at Thorn Meadows to the Thorn Point lookout. About four miles of constant up on generally good tread. I've bumped into bears and bobcats in the valley. The road in is seasonally closed and part of it is considered a 4WD route.
