Great short hike. The meadow is still green despite it being late summer. There were quite a few bugs though.

The trail name says it all! I love the meadows as they’re a vibrant green that collaborates well with the red of the Sequoias!

Beautiful and easy trail with lots of giant Sequoias! Came on an extremely busy Saturday 07/06/2019 where the shuttles were packed. Surprised that there really weren’t that many people over on this trail. Most tourists seem to stay near the Congress trail and General Sherman Tree.

I really liked this trail because you can learn about the sequoias and a little history of the park. The trail circles around a rich, moist meadow area that supplements the growth of the trees. It’s a really easy hike and you get to see many sequoias.

Walking on several feet of packed snow in the winter. Small parking lot nearby but you can park at the museum and walk on the trail to get to big trees trail fairly easily.

Great for people with limited range or time.

The perfect walk to start your trip into the Sequoias. Within this hour you’ll learn everything you need to know to spot young or old sequoias, what type of environment is most suitable for growth, and a little history about the park. It’s perfect for all ages and super easy to complete.

Lovely hike between a meadow and some huge sequoias. Informational signs along the trail to learn about the sequoias and habitat restoration efforts by the park. Accessible and well maintained.

Beautiful views of a meadow and easy paved walking trail. Had a lot of places to sit and enjoy the view. One of the most beautiful places in Sequoia National Park

Beautiful easy trail, but if you want a more secluded trail that is easy also I would recommend the crescent meadow trail just up the road from Moro rock. Big trees trail is more for young children or if you prefer a paved trail. The trees are magnificent.

Perfect for our young kids. We took our stroller and found no problems navigating it on the trail. Plenty of spots for our 2 year old to climb on rocks and explore.

The most peaceful and magical walk I’ve ever done. Super easy and just breathtaking. If you love giant trees and meadows, you’ll love this walk.

Simply wonderful short walk. Lots of big trees including a fallen giant you can climb atop near the accessible parking lot.

Best place in the park to see many giant Sequoias together. In the meadow we saw 2 bears and a family of dear all at once!

Excellent, easy trail. Wish we did this trail first. Has everything from beautiful meadows, Sequoia Trees and history of the area. Found no signs showing direction of Trailhead and map is vandalized. Walk Across from museum, head north along the 198. You'll pass a Sunset trail on your left, keep following along 198. You'll eventually get there. Go after 5pm and you'll get parking and a less travelled trail!

The meadow is full of flowers in July. Lovely loop with lots of information along the way. A little more crowded than other hikes in the park.
