Easy walk, family friendly. Beautiful scenery.

Great with little ones. No steep hills. Very minimal inclines. Plenty of spots to stop and view the ocean and have a snack.
At the end there’s a rock beach that’s fun for exploring.
Also clean bathrooms and picnic tables towards the end.

Really loved the views. But the trails stops and picks up mid way through the resort. Which I didn't even know it went through it. The buildings take away from the ambiance but my kids and I enjoyed it nevertheless!

The Terranea Discovery Trail is a very simple out and back hike that takes you along the Pacific Ocean. The trail is well maintained. There are restrooms, water fountains, and benches throughout the hike. At the end of the hike there is a "sea cave" for you to explore. It is the safest to see during low tide. The trail for the most part is stroller accessible for those with a family.

The best place to park is at Pelican Cove Park (31300 Palos Verdes Dr S, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275). The trail head is very close to this parking lot.

This hike will be boring for more intermediate and advanced hikers. It is great for families, families with kids, and beginners.
