Beautiful views. Nice in cool weather. Little muddy here and there, but mostly well-kept fire roads and trails. AllTrails loops are not currently possible, as private property is fenced off (see our route and photos).

Much more difficult than we anticipated. Uphill the first half of the hike.

Good exercise trail, some nice views, mostly for locals I suspect. Trail is very open, little shade. All Trails "map" is no good at all--disregard it and take a photo of the trail map posted on the trail head. It is MUCH better. Trail is rated "easy"--I'd say "fairly easy", not a stroll. An actual "loop" no longer seems feasible. Lots of dogs.

Nice hike. Super disappointing that the trail show it going on “private” land but is impossible to access.

IMO this is not an easy hike, I’d say moderate. It seems to be a popular trail, at least on the weekend. At 8am we passed lots of other hikers, runners, and dogs. Dogs can be off leash on the fire road under voice control. Lots of foxtails along the trail. There is a garbage bin and dog waste bags near the trail head. Not much shade, there was a sign saying goats roam part of the area in spring. Very nice views of Mount Tam & Big Rock Ridge.

Stunning views from this hike with gorgeous wildflowers in the spring. Definitely agree that it's on the more "moderate" side of easy. Would also be a fun, challenging trail run. Nice mix of sun and shade. Free parking on the street near the trail head.

I should have looked closer at the elevation gain and the length of the trail before taking the "easy" rating at face value. I wouldn't say it was easy, I would say moderate is more appropriate. Fun hike with gorgeous views though.

It rained a fair amount yesterday - as a result, there was a lot of temporary ponds and flowing water on the trail today. Several areas of mud in the road as well, but for the most part not too difficult to traverse. A lot of the trail is clay so it is pretty slippery in winter, particularly on the steeper sections. However, some gravel has been placed on portions of the road so it provides better traction underfoot.

Our go-to local hike with our pup. Off leash friendly hike with mostly wide trails. At the beginning of the trail, there are good views of Mt. Tam. Closer to the top, you can see the San Francisco skyline. There are a couple of resting spots with shade, but most of the hike is in the sun. In the winter after a storm, the roads a muddy. The roads are also shared with cyclists so we try to keep our pup close to us to avoid collisions.

Bring water. When hiking between May and September you will be exposed to the full sun from mid morning and late afternoon. Very little tree canopy shade. Great birding area and some wonderful vista views. I would rate it an easy hike, more like a walk.

I bring friends & family members who want to go on a hike but don’t really hike often here...it is a perfect >30minute route. Easy to take with dogs & children. There are hillsides that you can climb up to as well. There is also a wishing tree. Great views too

Essentially, this is a network of coastal foothill paths in an open space reserve. Easy for walking (I guess you could call it "hiking") but I especially like it for its trail running opportunities - if you want to challenge yourself, there are routes with elevation gain to turn to; if not, plenty of flat terrain as well. You'll get some nice views of the ocean, and you'll get to walk amongst Eucalyptus trees. Marin County ardently fights for its open spaces - this is evident by how "real estate-able" the area appears to be, yet, this open space remains for locals and outsiders (hint: you might stick out like a sore thumb as an outsider, they'll just know! no biggie) to enjoy. No admission fees. Be ready for friendly dogs and people.

Nice wide fire roads with great vistas. Great to take dogs or younger kids. Gradual gentle uphill.

Great trail however when I got to midway and tried to catch the fire trail, it was all fenced up so had to hike back same way. Wish the trail was updated.

Great little walk with the pups.

Beautiful- a little muddy right now

This hike dies not exist because it is not possible to do the loop at the end. The owner has blocked the trail with a giant fence with cameras. The 680 trail though is fantastic with 5 bridges and beautiful vistas, pines, madrones, bays, and a wide variety of wildflowers.

Dog friendly, wide trails with tremendous panoramic views. Trail is showing major signs of our drought with foxtails lining the way. Parking is on a residential street.
