There are a lot of wonderful views but a third of route it is just a road. 120 is not freeway but it is a small pleasure.

Good time to walk this trail without any mosquitoes. I had gone two other times this summer and didn't do this trail cause the mosquitoes were insane all summer around Tenaya Lake as soon as you took a few steps out your car they would quickly start following you. This time no mosquitoes and I finally took a swim in the lake.

Very easy if you're looking to just get out and see the lake, but LOTS of mosquitos near the west side, you need heavy-duty bug spray for that section. Nice walk by the lake but no great views of the distance. I imagine this would be pretty good for families/beginners because it's all flat

Such a beautiful lake in the middle of Yosemite National Park! Was there Labor Day weekend and there were still people swimming and plenty of happy people! Very clear lake and many great photo ops too!

Even Busy Labor Day Weekend the lake was amazingly quiet. Kayaked early morning then hiked trail around the lake. Highly recommend

Did this as part of a much longer hike from the valley. Awesome but it was pretty low light through this section. One of my favorite golden retreivers was named after this hike. I miss Tenaya!

Came here early September. The trail was mostly dry. Easy stroll around the very beautiful Tenaya lake. Encountered few people on the trail. Great hike to take older family members onto. Can spend sometime on the pristine beach/in water when weather is warm.

Tenaya Lake trail has beautiful views of stone mountains and snow-capped mountains well into July. Be prepared to walk through about a foot of water in the beginning and end of the trail. The only downside to this trail is that the view never seemed to change but since the view was so grand it didn’t seem to bother me much.

Easy, peaceful. Great with mature toddlers/school age kids. Not accessible with stroller.

Just completed this last week. At start take off your boots through the creek. The stepping stones at end are way under water! Hike until the beach and then turn around and hike back, otherwise you are walking along road. I did encounter a Mountain lion. He was sunning himself on a rock between trail and lake. A few loud blows on my whistle sent him up the mountain. Easy and quiet, only saw 2 other hikers.

The Tenaya Lake Trail was peaceful and beautiful! The lakeshore was nice and the water was cold. If you want to get away from the crowds this is the hike to do.

Very short hike to a great view of Tenaya canyon. Can be a busy path but there is plenty of room for all to have their own slice of the experience without feeling like they are part of a crowd.
