This route could be done in two or three days, or you can keep it easy by hiking four easy days. This route starts where 120 crosses Yosemite Creek and ends at Tenaya Lake, so it may be best to leave a car at the end before beginning. Parking at Tenaya Lake is on the shoulder of the road, and the shoulder gets crowded on a busy weekend in the summer. The first day is a hike up a beautiful canyon, ascending 1400' to the Ten Lakes area. This is the hardest day, but it is very scenic. The second day takes you over the pass just north of Toulumne Peak, with great views of the Tuolumne Valley to the north. The third day takes you down to Tenaya Lake.

spectacular scenery from Ten Lakes Pass, then even better once you round the shoulder on Tuolemne Peak. Big ups and downs. We started at Ten Lakes trailhead, took side trail after the pass to Grant Lake for 1st overnight, then took shorter hike to campspot at Ten Lakes, rested for the afternoon. 3rd day we hiked to Polly Dome Lake and 4th day we walked out to Tenaya Lake/ Toiga Road and hitched back to our car.
