The loop is closed. We went clockwise on 29 Aug 2020, and it was closed at the east-bound fork about a half mile before the Hub Junction.

Well marked, not much shade in the coastal stretch, and I came at about 10am so was already pretty hot, but that's on me. Waterfall was down to a trickle, but still scenic. Great views down to Malibu/Santa Monica and the Pacific. Parking is $12, but you can park in the perpendicular street across Sunset Blvd. People generally with masks down, but putting them up as people pass. Would imagine it would be very busy on a weekend as it was pretty busy for a Friday morning.

Short but sweet hike with lots of elevation to get the heart pumping. Solid views, especially at sunset. Rad tip: Turn off to the left at the open area before the “top” for the best views. Other than that: Lots of rocks and quite dusty. Decent amount of people on a weeknight. Trail is skinny in many spots. Wear a mask. Stay safe. Breathe your biome. And as always...happy hiking!

Fun easy trail for beginners. Partial shade along the trail with plenty of lizards to keep you company. Hiking shoes recommended.

Well I ended up taking backbone and tried taking the section that goes back toward topanga camp...it was very overgrown in some areas. Overall I got more than I bargained for...but it was a fun day!

Very busy on a Saturday. Went the counter clockwise direction. Was a little too strenuous for my dad so we turned around early. We passed a woman on the way down who had fallen and twisted her ankle. Lots of people alerting park worker to go help her.

I would say it’s a bit hard, especially if you go clockwise. But very rewarding with great views and wild life. Saw several birds, butterflies, and one rattlesnake!

This trail was a good hike! I recommend starting to the left side as you’ll have beach views and sun on the way up, then shade and trees on the way down. More strenuous than we expected as someone had told us it was a leisurely stroll - definitely bring water and proper shoes. Great hike!
