Very slippery in the rain! Some great views at the top of the ridge though.

Probably my favourite hike to do in the LA area. An actual work out, especially if you run the trails as I do. You benefit from proper hiking boots, and a dust mask is useful. A beautiful hike to complete with friends that gets the blood pumping and affords some of the best views from jungle terrain I’ve seen so far in LA. Lovely woodland camping picnic spots at the start and end of the trail in the park. Lovely date spot.

It's been one of the most extreme hikes I've ever done ... the trail it's not easy... I Normally tent to run 11miles in 2hrs and this trail took me almost 5hrs ...

It was wonderful experience, but definitely be ready for a lot of dust. There was areas that were shaded and couple view points of Santa Monica and Los Angeles. Definitely not too hard of a hike, but still a good workout.

It’s got to be the best hike for cool people. You get a nice view and walk. But some people don’t know how to maintain their dogs, so you can’t bring your dog. Also rangers can piss you off. 10$ parking.
