Anywhere convenient near the trailhead after passing Vinton Way.
Alta Vista Drive go West and transitions to E. Sunset Drive South. It's a couple feet after you pass Vinton Way on the left side of the road next to a dirt road.
Did this on a weekend evening not long before sunset and it was very pleasant and peaceful. We didn't see anyone else on the trail. It's very narrow for half of it and then wide for the rest. There are lots of horse droppings along the trail so watch your step! The AllTrails directions currently send you to the end that doesn't really have parking or signage. There was a dirt lot at that end, but we thought it may be part of the private property next to it and not for the trail. There was no space on the side of the road right near that end either. I'd recommend starting at the other end (from Helen Court), where there are wider streets for parking and where the actual trailhead signs are.
Nice little trail. Easy and some good view of of the canyons. Could use some maintenance.
