A half of trail without of road. It is just a forest with logs and grass. Not very comfortable. And a quoter is paved road. There is a good sightseeing and a lot of chipmunks and squirrels- it is very funny.

A lot of road, but the creek and lake views are gorgeous. We took our two little dogs, and it was easy enough for them and us. Definitely an easy trail, wouldn’t consider moderate.

Views at the lake around the midpoint of the trail were great. However, the second half of the trail either wasn’t marked or isn’t an actual trail. We tried following the creek but came across a lot of overgrown/blocked paths. We eventually cut off to the right and just followed the road back to complete a “loop”.

We loved this hike. Just right for us. Taylor Creek is beautiful and we were next to it most of the time. It is hard to follow trail on the east side but we navigated close to the gps trail shown and found our own way by staying close to creek. Well worth it. Crossing over the dam the trail is very easy to follow. Well worth it.

It was great to hike this trail on a warm and sunny Saturday in the fall during the salmon run. Unfortunately there were to manny people and dogs walking the trail, to see some bears fishing.

Who ever drew this trail did not follow a specific trail. We were able to find our way to the lake, which was great! But got lost in a campground site and had to walk to Fallen Leaf Rd to the main road to find our way out. Not ideal with a baby and dog.

Beautiful, moderate walk. Definitely doing this one again!

Not moderate whatsoever. It's very flat but the trail leads to a really nice view from a dam and puts you right next to the lake. Eventually the loop isn't marked and goes into a campground. After reaching the main road I crossed over and checked out the rainbow trail. Was hoping for something more out of the Taylor Creek loop based on description.

Ropi Lake is a beautiful destination of itself; plus, it was a lot less crowded than Lake of the Woods. Note that after you cross the outlet from Lake of the Woods, there are a number of improperly placed ducks and it is very easy to be led too low next to the Lake of the Woods outlet and lose the trail. Keep looking to the right as you move around the knob towards Ropi and stay higher up until you are past the rocky surface and can see the trail again.
