Crowded but worth it. Saw a good amount of wild life aside from the seals like a large gopher snake. Don't be that guy who walks on the beach close to the seals. It's very bad for the seals, those people are the worst.

A nice trail. Heavy traffic. Joggers, walkers, bikers, dogs on and off leashes. Some of the tar is still fresh. Avoid stepping in it or you may have a gooey mess on the bottom of your shoes. Also, at one point the trail crosses the RR tracks. Always listen for train whistles. Great views of the ocean. Some sections of the beach are closed due to harbor seal sancuaries.

Got to experience this beautiful beach and hiking trail while staying in Santa Barbara for some training in 2012.

It was my first time in CA, and I would love nothing more than to go back. I only had time to hike a portion of the full trail.
