It is a great hike to do with your family! There are so many great picture places, and the scenery is gorgeous. Be carful of snakes.

Nice 4 miles with a loop. Pretty views. Lots of wildflowers and birds. But also a lot of BEES, bikers, and lizards. Went late morning on a Sunday and saw only a handful of other hikers. No parking lot, just a dirt pull out, and No port-o-johns.

There wasn't a waterfall, but if you like lizards, this is the trail for you!

Beautiful views! Was insanely windy when I went which made it slightly more adventurous. But very easy hike, not too many inclines.

As someone else said, I ended up missing the loop and going towards a housing area a couple of miles down. Since It had rained I came upon a gnarly mud pit that almost took me out

This trial was awesome after the rain!! Everything was super green and not to many people. Which I enjoyed

Nice afternoon hike. Not many hikers and a couple of bikers. Trail is in decent condition but not as overgrown on the loop as I was expecting. No wildlife seen other than birds.

Just enough ups and downs.

Nice hike, gets hot even in November. We took a wrong turn and ended up on cottonwood drive, walked the streets back to the car. Over all about 5miles round trip. If I do come back, it would be in spring.

A great hike. You get to see some wildlife during your hike (deer). The path is wide the whole way. It's also a good trail for mountain biking.

Started around 11:30AM with the kids. There was only 3 other cars. Kids got tired at the 1.08 mile mark so we went back. I came back at 1:30 and I was the only one there. Beautiful wide trail. A little overgrown on backside of loop.

Moderate hike will do it again

Sunday, July 30, 2017

Great trail! Some shady areas along the way! Steady inclines in some areas. Definitely will do again.

good one

The trail itself was good. Pretty flat for the most part with some inclines but it wasn't hard. The only thing is, there were parts of the trail that had overgrown brush making it not too fun to walk through. Otherwise everything else was good. Saw lots of people biking so be mindful of them.

A cozy walking area, only one hill, very nice view. To the top of the hill is about two miles.

Per Garmin Forerunner 630, took 1:30:55 at an average pace of 3.0 mph. Total of 4.56 miles. Nice trail, clean and wide. Wildflowers blooming and trees provide shade for the first and last quarter. The loop itself is about 1.3 miles, and not too steep. Average trail, probably good for trail running and race preparation, or just a nice day out. Would do again, or recommend to a friend.

Love this trail. It is not too difficult and has moderate climbs. The trail connects with other trails. Dogs must be on a leash. Saw a few bikers and runners on the trail. We went early April and the flowers are beautiful. We did not see any snakes but two people advised us they had seen one.

This is a really good 4.4 mile loop it is a great hike for family and pets just watch for rattlesnakes

Great hike! An absolutely wonderful loop where you get to see all of the green and the blooms! It took me about 2.5 hours I think. The inclines can be pretty gnarly though.

Not heavily trafficked which was nice. Probably way too hot to do this the summer. Very little water in the stream every after all the rain. Otherwise very beautiful their time of year with a few wildflowers beginning to bloom.

Started trail run at 615am, so pictures are a bit dark. Very fun run since it never rains in SoCal and it was pouring- mud, green hills, and plenty of downed oak trees. very nice trail overall.

Good hike, we didn't see any waterfalls. Lots of uphill and not a lot of shade but still a great hike.

Really enjoyed it...can't wait to go back and do the whole trail!

Friday, September 16, 2016

Did this hike today and enjoyed it tremendously. It is not a walk in the park because like most hikes in Southern California you have to climb from sea level but not bad at all. When we got too winded just stopped for a minute then picked it up again. It was about 80 degrees so not too hot, wouldn't do it in July but there was also trees along the way for shade. This one will go on our list to repeat. Safe hiking :-)

Nice wide trail makes it easy to walk side-by-side with SO (except for north/west portion of loop). There are lots of coastal live oak trees along the way (again, except for north/west portion of loop) so there are plenty of spots that offer shade. It was very quiet and clean. Keep an eye out for rattle snakes!

Easy enough to do with our 9 year old boy, but also the trail has couple of moderate hills that got our heart rate up.

Wonderful double track trail. Well groomed and maintained. Shaded by the hill in the mornings. Easy trail for the first part then a bit of a climb later with wonderful views at the top.
