August 23, 2020I have done better hikes than this in the area. It does not take you to Twin Crags, but just above and it's really hiking until you decide to turn around. there really isn't much to see. that said, it's still a pleasant hike. Pretty rocky in some places amd dusty.

July 30, 2020Great option with kids (15 and 12) who don't love hiking as much as mom and dad (long enough to hold their interest, but not long enough to induce whining). Variety of shade and sun. The view at the end is worth the length and moderate effort.
July 23, 2020July 8, 2020My two kids (12 and 9) liked this hike. Nice views. A climb to start then gets easier. A good one for chatting while you walk. All done in less than 2 hours. We started before 9am and it was not busy.
July 4, 2020Great hike! We did it on the 4th of July and it wasn't too busy. The beginning is a little steep but gets easier and flatter the further you go. Some great views of the lake! :)

June 20, 2020Beautiful, easy hike with gorgeous vista about 1-mile into the hike. The nice thing with this hike is that it's connected to a longer trail, so you can hike farther if you want. We hiked about 3 miles in before turning around.
May 25, 2020Great hike with lake views that start almost immediately. Difficulty is easy, other than the initial incline, for just about any skill level. Rocky in the beginning. The trail as mapped out here was shorter than we wanted to hike, but as you’re on the TRT you can continue on as far as you’d like.
