Convenient parking at Skeggs Point; easy hike with only a few small hills. Hike is heavily wooded and muddy in places (Jan). More mountain bikers than hikers! There’s a picnic table at Vista Point on Fir Trail near the flight memorial.

Shady and beautiful. The out and back would have been a little easier with my trekking poles but man was it a nice trail!

Great for most of it. Loved all the redwoods. The out and back at fir trail is tough and not scenic. If I was to do again, I would do without this.

Great trail with shades throughout. It’s long and wonderfully scenic but not too steep.

Really beautiful trail, lots of redwoods and shaded throughout. Heavy mountain bike traffic, but overall not too crowded on a Sunday mid-morning. Quick uphill section makes for great cardio.

Beautifully shaded throughout. Lots of downhill, so brace your knees. Uphill is a workout, but concentrated into one section. The rock formation was gorgeous! Saw a small snake.

Easy trail, with one rocky sloped section. Would recommend going opposite direction of what AllTrails shows, and tackling the rocky section as a shorter downhill. Started a little after 7 AM (Sunday) and saw lots of bikers. By 9 AM, parking lot had overflowed. Hike length is actually 5 miles because the recording shows a blocked off shortcut at the beginning.

Shady and nice balance of incline and decline to make it feel like you’re getting a little workout in as well as a casual stroll through the trees. Not too busy on a mid Sunday morning.

Trees, trees and more trees! Gradual inclines. Weird sandstone rock seems really out of place, so that is interesting. You will park at Skegg's point (there's no point to Skegg's point) and cross the street to get to the trailhead.

The trail had good shade and was fairly easy. The whole loop is 2.5 miles (according to my Fitbit).

Very well shaded, and a nice Vista point (even if we didn’t see it with all the smoke from the fires). The Sandstone Formation trail is worth the detour to see the massive formation and all its intricacies.

If you’re in the area- would recommend stopping for this quick hike to see the rock feature. Trail is in great condition and great signage.
