For most of the part (not all), the trail is wide enough to allow you to keep your distance.

I had gone in late afternoon and it was darker than expected despite it being a sunny day. It is a good few hour hike.

This park is primarily used by mountain bikers. I’d recommend other near by parks for a more peaceful hike like Purisima, Huddart, or Wunderlich.

This was the perfect trail for a hot day since pretty much all the trail is shaded. There were a lot of bikers so you have to be cautious on trail.

Nice shaded trail

Beautiful walk through redwoods, madrone, and fir trees. Well shaded, so it was not too hot even though the sun was shining. Trail also was not too crowded despite it being midday on a Sunday when other trails’ parking lots were full.

nice hike under the shaded redwoods if you are looking for a good workout. the downhill portion of the fir trail was not so fun so we ended up taking the longer way back around

Pretty good home. didn't like the "tail"on the loop - super steep. we ended up coming back around a different trail to avoid going up that part. all of the scenery was the same, so a little boring. but very few people, which was nice.

Nice trail. There is only one Vista point. Also, it is moderate only if you are in a good shape. It is worthy.

This trail is more moderate than hard. A good trail for those upgrading from easy. Be sure to take the little side trip to the vista point off the fir trail nice view and a picnic table to snack at. Park at the Skeggs Point vista area and walk a short distance down the highway to reach the trailhead which is on the other side of the highway.

Trail only has signs of muddiness at this point and so is in great condition! It’s hard I suppose but it is a good combo of up and down and so is a great hike. I’d say moderate to hard. On a mountain bike it would be hard for sure but you could really get around this whole area. Lots of shade, great woods of different tree species. Overall very worthwhile hike I will do again and push a little further next time.

Stone formations are super cool, this would be a good trail running spot. Not many people out during the weekday. I’ll probably be back out in the summer when I’m looking for something shaded.

Hiked this March 10, 2019. Extremely muddy, which added time to the hike. Some ruts from mountain bikes. Saw a few hikers and a few trail runners and bikers – fewer than 10 people altogether. Accidentally turned right onto El Corte de Madera Creek trail (toward Skeggs Point) instead of left (toward Resolution) so after I figured that out and turned around, that added about 45 minutes to my hike. To recoup time, I didn't take the Fir trail out + back portion, just continued on the loop.

Did a small detour to add Methuselah Trail ay the end. This is a wonderful hike with lots of shade and lots of greenery! It's been raining non stop for quite some time so it was a bit muddy but it also meant we got to see lots of small creeks too so no complaints there. :D Would do it again. :)
