Beautiful trail. We also did the valley view trail to add couple of miles to the original loop trail. We loved the height. Traffic was less that day, may be because there was rain forecast. View and overall hike was great. There was a 5$ parking fee.
Nice wide paths, well maintained. Lots of people out at the start of the trail but once we got out a ways, it slimmed out. Combination of paved and dirt trail. Good for biking as well. Easy trail even with kids. Parking fee of $5. Find street parking nearby or park at nearby Independence Park for free. You’ll have too walk to the trail, but it’s not that far.
Weather was gorgeous, nice little bunny hill booth burbs we detoured to, great easy hike. Started to fill up as we headed back to parking lot about 12pm.
Nice easy walk, no shade but fine in the winter for some basic exercise. Views are ok but trail is well maintained.
This is a nice WALK...not much of a hike besides one quick incline. The walk, though, is very nice and refreshing. Go early because it is cooler and there are fewer people (hikers/walkers and bikers) on the trail.
Mellow place to stroll with flat area surrounded by rolling hills. Little shade, but close enough to town for a quick trek.
Trail in good shape. One area closed for habitat restoration post fire.
