This hike connects to the Sweeny Ridge which offers excellent views of the Pacific Ocean. This area can often have lots of coastal fog, be prepared for all situations. The Mori Ridge trail climbs steadily up through over 1,000 feet of height - some of which is steep enough to make a regular walking gait difficult, and only the most kamikaze trail runner would attempt. This trail is a perfect choice for an out-and-back trail, if you're planning to head back as the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean, and the unencumbered views are nothing short of stunning.

Great views of the Ocean, the Bay and reservoir; steep at points and mostly exposed.

Mori Ridge route is very steep in some sections w/ loose gravel. But great slot views of Pacifica and ocean panoramic up to Sweeney .

Mixed - some paved road, some dirt trail. Nike Missle tower at the top is abandoned and spooky and adds a nice variety. Beautiful views of the Pacific, the city, the East Bay. (We couldn't quite find the perfect spot to 360 all at once. Maybe you'll have better luck!)

Decent hike. All uphill on the way out and all downhill on the way back. Wildflowers were pretty, lots of variety.

Directions through the app took us right to the trailhead. It did feel weird driving behind the orchid nursery, but that really is the right place. Just keep going, there's a big sign at the trailhead so it's obvious once you're there.

There is a paved section near the turnaround point but it's not the whole trail like a review below said, more like 1/4 of the trail.

The trailhead is hard to find, it's behind the Shelldance Orchid Gardens on Mori Ridge Road. You can only get there by taking a right off of 1 North. It's a nice hike with good views of the coast on one side and bay on the other. Right from the start the trail climbs for about a mile, mile and a half then it's pretty flat once you're on top of the ridge. It wasn't busy (we hiked on a Sunday mid day) but there were other people on the trail. If it's sunny bring lots of water, there isn't much shade. It was a good little climb but the hike overall fell a little flat, not entirely sure why.

Great trail. Please note that dogs are allowed on leash on this trail according to signs. Most people let their dogs off leash if they are under control.

Beautiful coastal views. Absolutely amazing! The stairs are great cardio for an otherwise easy hike!

Nice little spot with good views, some elevation for exercise, and it won't take long.

Could not find the trail head based on the directions in the app or by driving to the ends of adjacent streets near the park.

Nice views from the top. It was foggy when I went but nonetheless beautiful. Pretty windy so a light jacket will do. The trails are very well paved.

Start from the trail head nearest the highway (there are two) to get some additional separation from the nearby neighborhood. From here, it is 0.6 miles to the sea wall, the first part of which is along a narrow dirt road that will entice you to see what is around the next bend. the trail then opens up and drops down to a boardwalk that takes you to the beach and the trail to the top of Mori Point. When we were there, the beach was a bit polluted with bits of trash, especially near the south end. From the beach, head south and immediately begin climbing the steps to Mori Point. At the top, you will have views South to Pacifica and of the surrounding seascape and mountains. For the return, head east on the coastal trail for about a half mile until you reach the saddle. Stay right, which puts you on the Timigtac trail, and head up the hill. at the top you'll be 300 feet above sea level, which doesn't sound like much, but it is enough to give 360 degree views of the surrounding area. Continued east, down the steep hill to return to the trail head.
