This hike connects to the Sweeny Ridge which offers excellent views of the Pacific Ocean. This area can often have lots of coastal fog, be prepared for all situations. The Mori Ridge trail climbs steadily up through over 1,000 feet of height - some of which is steep enough to make a regular walking gait difficult, and only the most kamikaze trail runner would attempt. This trail is a perfect choice for an out-and-back trail, if you're planning to head back as the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean, and the unencumbered views are nothing short of stunning.

Lovely hike with beautiful views of the bay. Steady uphill incline for the first mile and half, but worth it. Will definitely be going back

8 miles awesome views! We crossed highway twice lol

A trail with beautiful view all across of the pacific and the SFO bay. There is an initial climb up almost for 3/4th mile and then pretty much flat out.

Great trail, with breathtaking views of ocean! We saw several beautiful wildflowers and wild berries! We absolutely loved it! Most People are wearing mask and consider social distancing guidelines! Way back is much much more prettier because you are facing the ocean! Because the views are so different on your way up and your way down, the hike doesn’t get boring! Dog owners, please please pick up after your dog! There are lots parks that are not dog friendly and not following the pick up rules might close these parks for dogs!

Beautiful plants and flowers, I found the flora to be diverse. Wonderful views of the SF airport and the ocean, if you go high enough. Steep first 30 minutes.

Great wide - open trail. I highly recommend hiking. At the starting point you’ll hike about a mile uphill, very rocky and steep. The trail range from hilly to flat, however when you get to the top it’s pretty flat. Dogs can roam around unleashed. It’s not too crowded, well maintained. I do recommend wearing a hat and sunglasses since there is no shade, also comfy shoes.

Totally forgot to pause! Great hike, great recreational park

Great trail with beautiful views. The first half has a pretty steep incline. Would say it’s more challenging than moderate but not too hard either. Great for dogs!

These glutes and calves said whyyy. But every hill in the beginning was met with gorgeous view....so if you’re about to give up just turn around and look at the ocean....then finish the other 5 hills hahahahah. Mainly downhill on the way back. A little muddy with recent rain. Saw a couple bunnies . Oh...decorated Xmas tree at the top of one of the worst hills...for a present. Also directions to trail...don’t miss the turn like me...turn by the orchid

Straight up them down. Not for beginners or faint of heart, or knee issues.

Very foggy & first part of hike due to the incline was pretty difficult. But once you got up the hill it was pretty easy & even takes you to a paved path if you wanted to do that.

I really loved this hike, recommend it and would enjoy doing it again. Possible Cons: 1) no shade though it is very cool at the top and generally cooler in Pacifica. 2) Out and back, not a loop 3) Few steep parts have loose gravel so need to be a bit careful in the way down 4) no bathrooms in parking lot though the orchid house has done outhouses but I didn’t test to see if those were open/available Possible Positives: 1) Wide trail; no risk of poison oak 2) Very pretty views of Pacifica, the ocean, the hills and one view of south San Francisco. 3) wild flowers and pretty plants run along the path on both sides but the trail isn’t overgrown 4) you hike up first, along the ridge and then back down 5) you hike up into fog and wind so have layers; pretty exciting as you then might hike back into sunshine. I was there ~6pm and the fog was really rolling in from the ocean at the top 6) Cold War Era Missile landmark and plaque at top
