This was my first walk/hike here. I don't have the best balance, but was able to navigate the rocky parts. Very scenic and I didn't mind the bikers because it lets me know I'm not alone.

Incredible trail! Very shaded which is great for dogs. (and humans!) Gorgeous scenery, and very easy to find the nearest loop back to your car! Definitely recommend if you are looking for a fun and pretty easy trail with lots to look at.

It’s lovely but the combination of mountain biking and hiking is less than ideal for most of the trails. I don’t think bikes were supposed to be on the Chaparral Trail but they were. I myself like mountain biking but I wouldn’t do it on these trails.

The parking lot is closed due to COVID-19. Parking on the street. The trails were crowded, with too many mountain bikers.

lovely trail with a lot of great stuff to see. the trails are well marked. while the Chaparral trail may be "easy" because it's taken downhill, the terrain is pretty rocky at parts and could definitely be challenging on ankles and knees. because of the mountain bikers I would not recommend wearing headphones while hiking this trail. they can come up on you fast, so it's good to be able to hear them and find a place to let them pass. side note I accidentally paused my recording so it actually took me 80 minutes to complete

Really beautiful. Great for mountain bikes. Feels a little stressful for a girl and her dog. But still worth checking out.

Took my pup on this lovely hike. The only downside to this spot is how popular it is with the mountain bicyclist. Just be mindful to keep your eyes and ears open for the cyclist, they were all very kind, just don’t frequent this trail with headphones in.

Nice hike with some lovely views. This is a popular spot for mountain bikers though, so expect a fair bit of bike traffic, especially on the weekends. The Chaparral section is a bit steep and would be a bit treacherous when wet. It would be challenging for small kids, but isn’t too long of a stretch.

What a chill and beautiful walk through a tiny but often ignored park in the Oakland Hills. I absolutely loved how close this location was to the highway and how parking was abundant in the area as well! I would say this is a very chill walk and if you made it a run it'd be more challenging. I will definitely be coming back!
