Great view of Strawberry Valley, streams, the lovely San Jacintos This is a beautiful relatively easy (but very uphill) hike through the lush wonders of the San Jacintos. You will enjoy every minute. Suicide Rock is a great place to peer over the edge and contemplate life. You can also wonder what life might have been like for the Cahuilla version of Romeo and Juliet who legend says ended their lives here. The views are standard fare for the San Jacinto Wilderness - that is amazing. You get a great shot across Strawberry Valley at Lily Rock and Tahquitz Peak, and you can take in the heights looking up at Marion Mountain and Jean Peak. Don't miss the short trek to the peak, where there is a register in a smiley face can at the top. Feel free to explore all around the edge of Suicide Rock, there are plenty of viewing platforms, but do be careful near the edge.

Did this hike for the first time in about 10 yrs. Trial is mush better then it was back then. The hike itself is super nice and pretty easy. We started at 1pm and were back at our car by 430 even after spending almost an hr eating lunch on the rocks. It was a Sunday, So lots of other hikers. All very very nice except the one group of morons smoking weed and throwing rock over the side. Obviously Banning residents. All in All a great hike.

Moderate hike with a great payoff! Make sure to get your wilderness day-pass at the ranger station in town first.

Excellent hike with some awesome views. We were racing the clock to beat sundown, so we finished the hike in about an hour and twenty minutes.

Awesome views throughout the entire trail. As close to nature as you can get in the Inland Empire.

You can park off the road about 1/5 of a mile below the trailhead. If you do that, you won't need to pay for a parking/ adventure pass. Beautiful hike with amazing views. Wish I had more time to do more trails in the area. This trail also meets up with a few other trails as well.

This one is a little less traveled than anything starting at Humber Park in town. It is somewhat steep, so get ready to work out. There is plenty of room at the view to have a peaceful, private spot to rest, and you might even get the whole thing to yourself!

Trail was much easier than I expected. Took 5 of us about 4 1/2 hours with a nice stop/break at the top for lunch & pictures!

We did this at 4am Saturday 10/14. It was an awesome trail to hike in the dark. Very easy to follow. We got to Suicide Rock right at first light and had a snack as we sat and watched to Sunrise. This beautiful lady and I had a great time. It was definitely a moment that I will always remember and cherish.

This was an awesome hike. The trail is beautiful and has awesome stopping points with great views of mountains and the forest. We hiked this with a 3 year old and he did pretty well. Some of the hills were a little too steep and he had to be carried but we would definitely do it again.

Moderate hike but still a good workout. Great views from the top. Wasn't very crowded but we weren't alone. We camped at San Jacinto State Park and enjoyed the town of Idyllwild.

The Deer Path portion of the trail is not that exciting (not much variety of views) but strenuous due to the incline. However, the Suicide Cliff portion of the hike has more interesting scenery. The views from the top of Suicide Cliff are stunning. If you don't see a stunning view, you're not at the peak yet...go between the big rock & bush to reveal the view.

Good hike! It's off the deer springs trailhead. Be sure to stop at the ranger station on your way in and get a pass. They're free and are to make sure you're safe! I saw a lot of horses on the trail and that was super cool. It was pretty secluded which I prefer. I went toward the end of the day and being able to catch some of the golden hour was amazing!
It's a pretty easy hike with good views!
