We used this trail to connect us from Moro Rock to Crescent Meadow. It was a hot, dusty trail and more dust was kicked up by all the people using the trail. Perhaps we will try again when it’s not blazing hot hiking along with all of the summer’s crowds.

Did it along with a bigger loop. Good way to connect moro to the parking in crescent meadow. Easy walk, nice things to see.

Had a wonderful track through the beautiful forest of Sequoia National Park. This is a short trail connecting Crescent Meadows to Morro Rock. Because Morro Rock and Crescent Meadows are landmarks in this area, this trail is well defined and moderately traveled. The shuttle that is required by the park service makes stops at both Morro Rock and Crescent Meadows. The Saturday afternoon we went six others hikers we met along the trail. Compared to the number of people you will find on the trail around Crescent Meadow we can call the trail just used light to moderate. The trail runs through the forest, and is not paved like trail around Crescent Meadows. The trail has no grand views or open meadows to see, but what it offers are the sights, sounds, and smells of the forest. The grandeur of the redwoods in the forest is amazing to see. Your eyes take in all size and color a picture just cannot afford. Two male deer (bucks) we sighted along the trail, which is a thrill to see wild animals in their environment. Because of the area, the wildlife is not as afraid of humans as they should be. You can get closer than what might be considered normal, but they still wild and we should always give them their space. Bears were also seen in this area today, but were seen around the meadows. If you are traveling through the area, might I suggest hiking the Sugar Pine Trail down to Morro Rock from Crescent Meadows and not just taking the shuttle. It is well worth the time and effort.

We hiked this trail from Crescent Meadow to Moro Rock, 1.4 miles. With the extra .3 up to the top of Moro Rock it was a very enjoyable hike.
