This was an easy rolling combination of single track & fire road. I did it in 30 minutes at a medium pace. It was pretty clear of people even though it runs around a campground. I only came across four hikers & two bikers. I would recommend if you want a pretty easy but isolated ride that’s easy to get to.

Beautiful trail. Taking the red loops takes you much deeper into the forest. Blue trail had some paved road that had been plowed so we walked it. Snow conditions weren’t ideal but we could ask for a more beautiful day.

Very shady and an easy walking trail. Lots of bikes but otherwise very relaxing. Cool too as it’s the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics!

Easy stroll to Lily Pond along the General Creek. Camped at site #1 for two nights @ $35 per night! However, it is a nice spacious campground with clean showers. The walk to Lake Tahoe is so nice and Meeks Bay is a fine swimming spot with warm rocks to relax on. The trails are super nice for mountain biking too... I Love Tahoe... all of it.

oh definitely recommend this Trail for anyone who has family I only recorded a little bit of myself but I did completed the only reason that I had to stop this because there was a lot of bugs and I didn't put in the book spray so I do put my clothes back on and everybody knows a hard it is to take pictures with gloves on I did go off the trail a little bit because of the fact that I wanted the Explorer some more but still very good Trail when I went there wasn't that much traffic overall great experience

*signed well. * it was $10.00 for me to park in the day use area to explore the biathlon trails. *options to go to lily pond (+1.3 miles)& lost lake(+4.5 miles). * water on the trails for the dogs. * nice tahoe access if you cross the highway on the paved trail & see the mansion estate. *easy, easy pleasant stroll.

Great hike out of Sugar Pine State Park. Did not see this trail on All Trails. Flat the first half, then a good “up” the last 3 miles. Lake was full mid July and water in one stream through the first 3 miles. Went swimming, great spot to camp.

Camping

The trail is very close to the park camping site so you can hiking there when you go camping in the park. The trail is pretty flat with shade in the summer. Good trail. I like it.

Walking

Closest shore access to the only (public) Tahoe campground that is open year-round: Sugar Pine Point Campground. Lots of paved "trails." File this place in the walking file, not hiking. Make sure to get down to the dock near the employees' housing - great views of South Lake Tahoe. The Pine Lodge and other buildings that looked of some historical significance located next to the employees' housing is open only in summer months.

This is an easy and lovely trail, with access to the shoreline of Lake Tahoe. Some of the trail is patronized by mountain bikers.
