Rather busy with lots of unleashed dogs. 98% wearing masks. Very easy trail with only one section with steep incline.

Good hike for beginners. 80% of the trail is relatively flat. Good trail for jogging and running

RunningGreat!

It’s a good trail for running and walking. It’s well paved and you just cannot get lost. Ascent is steady but not hard for the first half of the 7+ mile trip and a fast descent going back. There is quite a number of hikers and runners, who were all very cautious with their face coverings when approaching other hikers.

HikingGreat!

Great trail! I hike/walk relatively frequently and it took me under 2 1/2 hrs, including a water break at the end and stopping to obsessively take pictures of my dog. Steady incline for the first 1/3 or so of the trail with one steeper hill towards the beginning. Nice wide trail, great views, not too crowded on an early Friday afternoon. Lots of off leash pups!

Busy. And I don’t think the mileage or elevation is correct.

The steepness at the beginning was not terrible, the views were ok, the trail itself (after the first mile) is easy to walk and very wide.

RunningGreat!

Nice wide fire trail with plenty of space for everyone. Almost all wearing their COVID masks. Hard-packed dirt, great for trail running. Easy parking a little downhill at the pool/recreation area (currently $1/hour) if the lot shown on All Trails (which has free parking) is full.

Nice wide fire trail in Berkeley Hills above Campus. From bottom, there is one steep rise but otherwise very moderate. Safe and easy to access.

Scenic, wide roads, easy to run. One steep hill but if you’re looking for an incline this isn’t the one

The trail started off pretty easy but it did get hard as you went up. The steep hill was well worth the view at the top.

Went around 8 am, and saw very few people on the trail. Foggy and cool, it was perfect weather for me. There’s a nice climb in the beginning before it evens out on top. On my way back, more people were seen, and 90% of them were masked. Will definitely hike/walk this route again- it’s a lovely local gem.
