This was a great hike! We didnt come across any rude or obnoxious hikers and managed to avoid the crowds by camping at siligo meadows on day 1

I hiked this trail two weeks ago but most of it was covered in snow. Passable without snow gear until echo lake and deer lake, then gets harder to traverse. Incredibly beautiful and so worth it, especially camping at the top of echo lake!

Beautiful lake. One of my favorites in the Trinity Alps. Moderate hike with some scrambles but not too difficult. The few campsites are on the North side with picturesque views of awesome granite peaks with snowmelt falls cascading down the face.
