Nice paved and stroller friendly trail. However, the noise from the highway is very loud. There’s almost no view on this trail. I probably wouldn’t go back because it’s not enjoyable.

Wonderful bike trail away from road traffic. Mostly shaded but open fields when going up north. Great ride to the Shoreline area.

First trail I found and ran along since I moved to the Bay Area...very nice place, though need to be careful as runners and bikers are sharing the narrow road. I really enjoined running along the river!

Well maintained, paved, water fountains in several locations. Only one bathroom along trail, at Whisman Park (4 minute walk off of trail). Connects with SF Bay Trail. Can be crowded on weekends. Lots of bikes 5-7 PM weekdays. Note that the loop on the north end shown in this map is no longer open. It terminates at about the same point as the SF Bay Trail heads toward Moffett Field.

I rated it low because the trail pictured on the map is no longer available: fences block the access to the seashore. What you can do though is extend your run to the Bay Trail that crosses some preserved areas for bird nesting. Lots of nice bird shots !

Stevens Creek Trail runs from the Shoreline estuary in Mountain View to about half a mile South of El Camino Real in Cupertino. This is an easy, mostly paved, fairly flat trail with lanes clearly marked, good for walking, jogging and bike riding. The trail does cross some major roadways but has pedestrian bridges and under passes. This trail is currently being extended South in to Cupertino along 85.

It's a good place to jog if you stay in shoreline park, but if you head towards the baylands sometimes the smell of bird poop is overwhelming!
