Hike #17. A bit of a short one for us but long enough for Tessa and Cameron. I wanted to do more but they were tired. but I'm so glad they were with us.

Makes for an ok walk. Really easy for kids. We took a stroller and it was fine. board walk has some screws and nails sticking out, lake was dry, next to road so lots of traffic noise.

Walking

More of a walk on a pier than a hike, but nice enough, considering it is within like 50 feet of Hwy 18 the entire distance.

Super easy trail, perfect for walking your dogs or taking a stroller. The hubby and I enjoyed the beautiful site seeing. Did several stops to take pictures. Will definitely do this hike again.

HikingBugsGreat!

It's flat, scenic and easy. It's the perfect hike/walk for the family. On the eastern edge, you can make it all the way to the Convention Center (near Wyatt's restaurant). Be sure to give it a try.

This trail is great for a morning stroll or a easy family walk. Great views of the lake and great for fishing. I would recommend doing this on a bike, it would be a lot quicker.

HikingMuddy

Not what I call a hike, but a nice walk mostly along a footbridge with pretty scenery. Once off the bridge, it was pretty muddy, but recent snow was melting. Great place to take kids/family for a quick nature outing, photo opportunity. Good bird watching. Dogs are fine too, but bring poop bags as none are provided.

Hiking

This is about the easiest trail you can go on in Big Bear, almost 0 elevation gain. Nice views. Not much else to say, good for a quick jog or photo op. Looks better when the lake is full. Can sometimes spot uncommon birds like Heron
