I love this trail! It’s super easy to find because there are a lot of people in the Auburn Rec Park area looking to hike. This trail seemed like it was less trafficked than the others, though. It’s uphill the entire way to the bridge and will give you a good cardio workout. Coming back down is a lot easier obviously. The views at the top from the bridge are amazing and are definitely worth the hike up. I did it with my small dog and he was fine (only had one tick on him at the end). I would come back here.

I took my wife, toddler, and two dogs. We did a loop that combined multiple trails. Great views, great workout, tired son and dogs.

Love this hike! Beautiful viewpoints throughout. Is great for everyone. Definitely some uphill work one way or the other depending on where you start. But entirely worth it!

A great trail; if you're looking for a glute workout, go to the bottom & back up!

Wide trail with stagecoach ruts in it. Good overlooks. Picnic table partway down in partial shade.

This was a nice trail. There were some really pretty views of the bridge and surrounding area, including the American River. You can connect to other trails to shorten or extend your hike. Some of the trails were pretty washed out. I wouldn’t hike this if it had rained recently because of the mud. Be on the lookout for mountain bikes, too. Hiked 12/03/17.

I loved hiking this today. My kids enjoyed it too!

great views, but not easy as indicated. It's moderate to strenuous.

This trail is alright I guess, but I wasn't a massive fan of anything it had to offer for hiking. That said, it IS really a mountain biking path more than anything. The terrain is rocky, but the path is wide. There's a nice vista somewhere in there. Also, the "loop" isn't all that easy to determine. There's plenty of flood roads/paths you can use to make the loop, but I honestly think of it as a there and back. Decent day hike to break in your boots though. Moderately heavy traffic on the trail.

Basically a mountain bikers trail.
Nothing much to see up but the canyon view.

I would not classify this as an easy trail as it is all uphill and pretty steep. But the view once you're under the bridge is beautiful ❤

Easy trail, perfect for kids and your furry ones too:) a little muddy after all this rain. There was a bug sink hole that could be troublesome but the dog snd I made do.

Loved this trail. Hiked in from the Ranger Station and Manzanita trail. climbed to upper Stagecoach, Flood Road trail and then down to Confluence via the cutoff trail. Great hike with beautiful views and very friendly hikers/bikers.

I started at the Ranger Station taking the Manzanita Trail up to Stagecoach Trail then down to the Confluence. I prefer this hike in colder weather because the sun does shine most of the day on this side of the river.

Great hike! Beautiful views and great trails if you want to take a dip or just enjoy the water!

The first part of the hike is straight up hill, which is a nice challenge. The rest of the hike gains in elevation moderately. Nice view of the confluence area, but the end of the hike is anti climactic, with no views. It's a nice hike that is partly shaded. Parking can be difficult to find if you don't get there early enough.

nothing much to write about

Decent trail with a nice steady incline. Some good views of the No-Hands bridge and the confluence area. I took the Mossy Rock side trail and went up to the Foresthill bridge and back down on the Bridge View Trail which was way more interesting than the main route that is mapped.

Very easy fire trail. Great for young kids but a little boring.

Night hike, it's good for the soul!

Enjoyed the trail, found some geocaches and loved the big bridge.

not so much a beginner trail if you ask me. went with my family and they ended up walking their bikes up as it was pretty challenging to pedal up. coming back down is ok but make sure you have some great brakes.

A decent trail but there are much better ones only a couple hundred yards down the road. Would not do this again.

Great trail for people of all levels, my 3 and 5 yr olds were able to do most of the trail. To be clear, it's 2 miles out and 2 miles back.
Be sure to pay for parking or you'll incur a $72 ticket from the Parks Dept.

Easy short trail with nice views of the confluence area and mountain quarries railroad bridge. Also nice for a change to have a trail going downhill on the way back.

See the link below for the ASRA trail guide:

This trail is easy to find and well maintained. However, it's not really along the river for so long and it's a relatively uninteresting trail with some views of the confluence from higher up. Just regular shrub brush and typical plants for the Auburn area. What hasn't been stated is that the trail is entirely uphill for the whole trail and downhill for the return; which is what makes it more of a medium to difficult trail depending on your abilities. I did see some runners on the trail so it's all relative to abilities. All in all, very nice trail for a short hike and a nice chat with you fellow hiker.

Easy trail for beginners. Lots of birds and butterflies. Red dirt roads will get you nice and dusty. I prefer lake clementine trail across the way but more difficult and longer.

So Fun! Such a great workout! We decided to do the Upper Stagecoach Trail and once we reached the top to Foresthill Bridge it was the BEST view :) I was a little scared but it was worth it

This is a great trail! Lots of cool view points especially if you veer off the trail occasionally ;)
