Start very early in summer. I Love this for the views and wide well maintained trail. River and outhouses at the bottom. This was literally the stage coach trail into Auburn. Now used as a fire road. If you look closely you’ll see the stage coach wheel ruts still.

Great trail - good views and lots of places to rest if necessary. For the most part the trail is shaded. We started the trail at 8:30am on a weekday. The trail itself had a few people and mountain bikers. I recommend getting there early - lots of people in the parking area.

This was much more enjoyable than the Clemintine trail for the reason of not being over crowded. We started around 6:30am and ended up going off track a little. A great trail that our 2 year old and 4 year old enjoyed.

Good views and a little warm out today. Also went on a bit of Tinkers Trail which had a cute little waterfall.

Not a bad trail for a quick hike, uphill on the way out so a nice downhill on the way back. Large part of the trail is really more of a fire road. Not much shade.

The hike had amazing views of the canyon and even had a little creek/ man made waterfall (very mediocre but still nice). There were benches and a picnic table along this hike and lots of shade on and off. You can sort of get off trail and go on other trails by accident if you’re not paying attention, but then again they have clear postage every place a different trail starts. The one downside to this trail is that it is pretty rocky. Obviously you’re in nature and pebbles and small rocks are going to be scattered throughout the path, but there were some big rocks that had jagged edges so definitely wear appropriate footwear. You could get away with wearing like running shoes, but your feet will definitely hurt a little afterwards. Lastly, I think this isn’t a bad trail for anyone that’s fit. Even if you barely go to the gym or don’t go at all but enjoy this type of exercise, this wouldn’t be a bad trail for you. You’ll definitely sweat, so stay hydrated.

Great trail if you want a good workout in a short amount of time! Limited shade, wear sunscreen and bring water. Enjoy the canyon view at the top!

Great booty workout trail. First 2 mi is steady incline and then you enjoy the rest of the trail going down hill. Pain and sweat felt good.

This is my go to trail when I need a good workout, started at Russell road and made my way down to hwy 49, then jumped on lake clementine trail and then made my way back. The way back up is no joke it’s a steady incline all the way, yesterday the sun was wicked and ran out of water. I took 40oz. But for such a long hike I should doubled up. A lot of mountain bikers on this trail, but in clementine a lot of hikers. Stagecoach is a popular trail and most people go to so beware if you want solitude. I didn’t I didn’t mind all the people.

I love this trail! It’s super easy to find because there are a lot of people in the Auburn Rec Park area looking to hike. This trail seemed like it was less trafficked than the others, though. It’s uphill the entire way to the bridge and will give you a good cardio workout. Coming back down is a lot easier obviously. The views at the top from the bridge are amazing and are definitely worth the hike up. I did it with my small dog and he was fine (only had one tick on him at the end). I would come back here.

I took my wife, toddler, and two dogs. We did a loop that combined multiple trails. Great views, great workout, tired son and dogs.
