South Lake Trail to Skaggs Springs Vista is a 0.5 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Geyserville, California that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, trail running, and camping and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
I took this trail in a Saturday pretty private only 1 group of hikers passed me. The first part of the trail is pretty rough lots of loose rocks and loose dirt, kinda like a 4 wheel drive or horseback trail but after the first mile or so it turns into a normal hiking trail. To get to the water it’s an extra mile but when you do get make it to the bottom there are nice picnic tables to relax under, even camping if you wish to.
