South Bay Beach Bike Path is a 23.1 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Redondo Beach, California that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
This beach ride can't be beat, there is an established bike path the whole way, and we didn't have to wrestle with cars or too many pedestrians. It's easy to lose track of how long the ride is when the ocean is right alongside you the entire way.
This is a great local beach bike trail from Redondo through Marina Del Rey. Watch the surfers and beach goers in all types of weather enjoying the beach while you get a wide and smooth cement trail ride.
You will need a bicycle to fully enjoy this path. Yes, often you'll see pedestrians but they should be paying attention to the 'bikes only' markings posted everywhere. It has amazing ocean views and should be completed at least once. Avoid the summer months if you don't want to constantly dodge tourists.
It has been a few years now since the last time I did this one. I actually went all the way to San Pedro at Point Ferman. This ride offers some beautiful ocean views and rugged coastline. Most days you can see Santa Catalina!
