Beautiful view, but because of the cliffs I would not call it kid friendly.

Hiked 4/14/17: This is the most scenic walk/hike I've ever been on! It was windy, but clear blue skies and so many wildflowers this time of year. It's really only a walking trail, but we went off trail which added a little intensity and distance. You must take the stairs/ladder down to the beach...there are several picnic tables in the parking lot overlooking the beach. There are also restrooms.

THIS IS NOT A DOG FRIENDLY HIKE. Drove 2 hours to get here with my dog and he wasn't allowed on the trail.

I loved this area. Lots of beach area to play in and a lovely ocean view the entire walk. It's windy so dress appropriately. The coast line is gorgeous and the ground has cool formations. I highly recommend it.
