The hike from the Summit Springs Trailhead to the West Peak of Snow Mountain is hike though peaceful desolation. The hike starts out exposed and meanders for a little more than a mile before you start to get under the cover of the tall pine trees as you climb. The hike is moderate, and the trail, for the most part, was well defined. There are fallen trees across it here and there but no big deal.
