Nice trail, beautiful views of the rock formations in JTNP. Good for families.

Short nature walk, good for almost all skill levels. The trail is a little tricky where it crosses the road (not super well marked), but the skull rock at the end is pretty cool

Skull Rock was very cool to see in person. If you don't feel like doing the 1.7 mile hike you can park along side the rock on the main road and walk up.

The rocks are crazy big here but rough on your hands. Skull rock is cool to see, perhaps a little overhyped.

Large family friendly. We have 5 small children under 10 and really enjoy this hike.

we looked for an easy hike for my son and this fit the bill. however, the trail was very poorly marked and seemed to go to nowhere. too many people letting their dogs off leash, which i am not a fan of for multiple reasons. this was the disney version of a joshua tree hike. hard pass.

Excellent place for boulder hopping

Fun little hike. I wouldn't recommend only doing the trail. Step off jump around and rock hop a little bit. It's such a great area to play freely and enjoy the massive beauty around you.

Very nice and well marked trail. Many places to climb and take in the desert views which are just incredible.

This trail is easy, and after walking out to skull rock, I climbed around and explored all of the rocks behind it and around it for a few hours.

We saw a desert mouse and a family of quails on this trail! Lots of places to climb and veer off the path.

Very cute place to watch the sunset with your SO on top of the rocks. The trail was pretty but I wouldn't go on it again.

The trail is an easy hike with a well marked trail. Takes you by a lot of the wildflowers that are blooming now. I'm not sure there was anything to cause me to want to do it again. You can park at skull rock and walk a short distance to see the same things and simply walk back the couple hundred feet.

Took the dogs which you're not supposed to in some areas so that can be challenging. It's not so much a hike to skull rock just a walk but usually a lot of traffic for photo opps depending on when you go.

simple hike right off the road that you can do quickly. It gets a bit confusing because part of the hike goes through the campgrounds and is not marked well.

great wildflowers in the spring.

We parked at the camp ground just south of the trail. Nice loop with lots of interpretive signs and great views of the jumbo rocks! Bring water! There are bathroom s but only near the campgrounds.
