Small parking lot was full, but was a fairly short wait to get a spot. Park rangers there to direct cars. Closest bathroom is 10 min away so he said we could just pee in the bushes. Not sure if we didn’t take the best trails but we didn’t see a lot of what was pictured. It’s May and the grass was dry and brown, not as picturesque as the photos. There’s zero shade and the view was nice but not the most beautiful. We went uphill then down hill and it was 80’s and hot going back up. Have iced water in you. Number of bugs but they didn’t bother me too much. Overall, good hike and workout, but might be a bit too hard and hot for older folks on a hot day.

Incredible views along this trail! As noted, not a ton of shade. Long sweeping inclines and declines, but not ever terribly difficult. Not crowded. The drive to the trailhead alone is an adventure! We will be back.

This is a quick short hike with amazing views! This is one of those hikes that makes you take your time and enjoy all it has to offer. There's minimal shade and it does get pretty hot when the wind slows down. Some steep-ish sections but mostly a moderate hike. The section near the trailhead had a lot of people but once we took the left on to Sierra Vista trail there were very few people. Went during the COVID crisis, the parking lot can get crowded and they have people regulating the flow of cars. THEY ARE CLOSING THE PARK AT 6pm AND NOT SUNSET! We were initially planning on hiking the "Sierra Vista and Calaveres Fault Trail"(https://www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/us/california/sierra-vista-and-calaveres-fault-trail) but had to choose this one instead to get back on time.

First time on this trail and it was gorgeous! A lot of sun but I like that and it was different than other trails. Definitely go during the week and you will find parking no problem.

Flowers are off the charts awesome on this trail. Narrow paths at the start make it hard to distance - so be sure to go at unpopular times.

Stellar trail, lots of California poppies right now. Good sized lot with ample maps and info. Excellent for bird watching. Most people come for the views from the lot, no other hikers on trail on a weekday afternoon. Spotted just one mountain biker in the distance. Also saw some wild hogs! Overall a great short hike.

Really beautiful trail. Lots of birds. First bit of the trail is highly trafficked. There were a few mountain bikers. Be mindful of parking. Only park in the lot. Saw 3 cars parked outside the lot all with tickets.

Great hike! Challenging in some parts but beautiful scenic views at beginning and middle points. Super green and foggy when we went up. Finished in under 2 hrs.

Great trail to ride. Planning ahead! Extremely limited parking with enforcement!! Weekends when the weather is nice I probably would not bother because of the parking. If you’re riding make sure to go to the left at the fork after the bridge.

This is a great trail to do in the mornings or on a really cool day. It’s definitely not an easy hike. It’s first half is downhill and the uphill the second half. Great workout with beautiful views!! Highly recommend.
