Sibley Volcanic Trail is a 3.8 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Canyon, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from June until December. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Believe it or not there's actually a volcano just off Skyline Boulevard. Not just any volcano, mind you. This one is lying on its side with its guts exposed. You might not recognize it right away, owing to its reclining position and the grassy coat it's adopted. But among the shrubs and grasses at Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve, you'll find the rocky body and underpinnings of one of the largest of a handful of volcanoes that once dotted our geologic neighborhood.
nice relaxing hike
Good, solid hike. We did 3 of 4 summits, enjoyed the wildflowers. The views are nice but nothing breathtaking.
One of my favorite spots for a quick hike. Easy to get to and great fun for the Pup. Gets really busy on the weekends but it's well maintained. If your dog is a little weird with cattle you might want to keep them on a leash, as there are free roaming cows throughout the area.
Nice little hike that can get pretty crowded.
