It was a little overgrown but nothing too bad. Great views of the lake as you go.

HikingNo shade

Had the hardest time trying to find this trail, my friend and I were walking on a paved road sharing it with cars and eventually found the trail but there was little to no shade! Also it was packed on a Saturday so I don’t recommend going on the weekends.

Excellent trail! There was basically no one else there. It was pretty easy though so it's great for beginners. I myself have never gone hiking before but am relatively fit and found it a little too easy.

Nice little morning walk. Won’t consider this an actual hike, but the views of the lake was amazing!

Nice hike for our three kids, ages 4 through 9 years old. A little disappointed the hike was on a paved road - but we went off trail for a while and enjoyed it. The app tracking our hike really helped us find the trail again. We only went about halfway and ended up down at the water where the kids swam for a hour or so. Enjoyable time, we will do it again.

This trail is paved concrete; beautiful stroll and view but by no means is it a hike.

Great hike, about 5 miles in total. Directions to get to the trail were sketchy. We parked at the marina, but you could learn from our mistake by taking the paved road to the right past the stop sign and all the way up until you hit the locked gate. That’s where the trailhead sign is and where you start. You can park your car on the side and walk around the gate. Trail is decently marked with signs and ribbon. Takes you down to a beautiful private beach front. Great weather, great scenery.

Loved It! Not too difficult terrain wise; trail is tough to follow. The app works pretty good with GPS where it gets iffy. Had a Bald Eagle fly right over us, got some decent pics for phone cam. Highly recommend this longer than 5.7 mile hike; with the occasional 'detour' it was 7.7 miles all the way to the lake and back.

Walked on this trail for a bit today. It was a nice, easy walk through the woods on a paved trail. We had a really hard time trying to figure out where to park as the trailhead listed on this page is well past the locked gate. We finally parked by the boat launch and walked on the road (which is all the trail is anyway). We ended up taking a logging road for some water access and had just the best time jumping over the tiny streams that pop up everywhere during the spring thaw.

Views are great, and air quality beats that of the valley. However the trail itself doesn't lend to the water - expect to backtrack if you walk the lake shoreline.

First to Review

I wouldn't call this a hike, it is about 8 miles if you walk all the way to the power station though, and that was really neat to see. It's an easy shaded walk that is half on a paved road (no cars). Lots of beautiful views of the lake and places to stop to eat a snack. I would do this hike again, it was a relaxing day.
