Shadow Lake Trail is a 1.8 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Old Station, California that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from May until October.
No fish caught, but an easy hike in to a sandy shore line and beautiful water. Easy to walk around entire lake. Bring a hammock:)
A short trail just off the park road if you don't have much time, this also goes by Terrace Lake and continues on to Cliff lake. The section from the trailhead to Terrace is pretty steep, then the trail goes into the water at Terrace so you will have to go through the rocks on the eastern side if it's still like that. Both lakes are clear, small and shallow, and the banks are mostly grass instead of sand.
