Love this hike! I would make sure you have a map of the trail with you because it can become hard to navigate what trail to stay on. Other than that the hike was amazing! The last part (going up and down) were very steep but as long as you go slow it is fine. Definitely recommend! Beautiful scenery at the top and the swing was amazing!

I loved this hike!! Trails aren’t marked though. It’s hard to tell what is a trail and what is part of the private property. Beautiful scenery.

The swing is back! What a beautiful trail and view from the top. As others have said, the last section is very steep, a scramble up (and down) loose dirt. I would not want to attempt when muddy. Directions on your map made it easy to find our way.

The swing seat is missing! It’s just a chain looping over a limb, so disappointing! Oh well it was a nice hour long hike to the tree. Wind once you’re up there. You have to scramble the last bit, steep but otherwise gentle uphill path

Very easy and moderate until the very end. It is pretty harsh and uphill but definitely worth it!

Great ride to the serenity swing but you will have to get off the bike for a steep difficult climb. Incredibly difficult to get a bike up.

Once you actually find the swing, it’s worth it. The trail is not marked well and the last part is incredibly steep for about 20 feet. But a good photo op at the top.

Very beautiful views but, we left disappointed. There was no clear trail and no signage all the way to the swing. Because of this, we mindlessly took weird paths that didn’t really look legit and got lost... a lot. Eventually we gave up after 3 hours of failed attempts. So, make sure you know where you’re going before you start the hike.

Lots of dogs playing in the mud on this trail. A beautiful clear day with sweeping views, but a muddy, slippery scramble at times. Still would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area with moderate hiking prowess.

This hike was an awesome way to start the new year. It was certainly a challenge. The hard classification is well earned however just in the last push up to the swing. In fact I was pretty much crawling up using my hands and feet. It was very steep and I didn't want to lose footing and slam down on my knees. The rest of the hike is very mild and pleasant. On New Year's day I had the swing to myself. On a clear day I could see the smoke stacks all the way to Morro Bay and Morro Rock was standing magestically. Off to the south I could see the ocean towards Pismo. The hills were green and San Luis Obispo was nestled in the valley below. It was spectacular!

Easy until the end, pretty steep rocky climb to the top but worth it. Gorgeous sweeping mountain views the entire way.

A bit challenging for sure but the swing and the view from the top makes it worth it. I will do again.
