The Sequoia Bayview trail is a wide, level trail, very popular at the Joaquin Miller Park. There you will find lots of joggers, mountain bikers and dog walkers. You will run through a few patches of redwoods, but the trail is mostly non-redwood forest. If you’re looking for a shorter distance route that doesn’t have much elevation gain or loss, this trail is for you. Nonetheless, the Sequoia Bayview Trail connects to many other trails in Joaquin Miller Park and Redwood Regional Park, so you can explore for as long as you want. You can Park on the side of the road at the Sequoia Bayview Trailhead.

Super fun, shady, and an overall fairly easy hike. Lots of small off-the-path climbs for my niece. Even during Covid-19, lots of hikers and MTBers. Def gotta keep eyes out for bikers- lots of em! Looked fun; may wanna try that too!

Great trail! I recommend to all. Busy with lots of Mountain Bikers. Lots of people so start no later than 10 or 11. But beware it can get pretty cold in places.

Shady flat trail that winds around steep ravines among redwoods. Lots of mt bikers and joggers. Several branch off trails that we could go back and try. Hiked with mo on 5/6/20

Beautiful area. Easy hike. But sooo many mountain bikers. It was almost impossible to let your guard down long enough to enjoy the hike between the bikers. Also at one point on the app map- the trail goes cold so we had to back track. There were LOTS of people there. But that’s to be expected based on what’s going on in the world right now.

Great trail for hot summer day, since most of the trail is shaded by variation of tall trees. Also not that many steep hills to make the hike easy. Great place to get clear and fresh air from all the surrounding trees.

Great little trail and lots to see around every corner. Will be very busy except early morning, so go early!

awesome Trail to go running in. if you wants to social distance, go here early in the morning and it's so peaceful. Even in the rain, it creates a different atmosphere that you can quickly get away from society.

Lovely, even in the rain. Few bikers or runners made the walk easy. When muddy, need to watch your step.

This is a dog friendly trail that offers plenty shaded areas. It’s a busy trail with hikers, runners and bikes. There’s a beautiful view of the city towards the end, you can miss the view if you’re walking too fast.

Beautiful and pretty flat trail. The directions for the loop back was not very clear, but we ended walking back through the fern ravine, sunset and palos colorados, which was pretty, but a bit more steep. It is wonderful to have such beautiful nature close to the city.
