Not so many trees. Very sunny trail. Easy to walk, but most of the greenery has burnt away, sadly.

HikingGreat!

This is one of our favorites when we want a quick getaway in the valley. Sadly, about 90% of the vegetation has been burned in a recent fire so as far as nature you can still see some birds by the water. A mask is a must since you can smell a lot of ash right now. Still a well-maintained trail, easy with lots of chances to adjust the length of your hike as needed.

Nice, easy trail. It was good for my kids, who are novice hikers - this was really more of a nature walk than a hike. The trail was moderately busy - there were several other family groups along the trail, but it didn’t feel crowded. Mask compliance was about 75%, but it was easy to keep our distance.

Flat urban path. Lots of dogs but not as much foot traffic as other more popular trails.

Unfortunately a brush fire devastated a lot of the plant life. The trail is still fully accessible. It was easy and mostly flat. The lake is still nice to look. The ducks and geese call this area home and you may even spot some rabbits as I did! Better to go with a buddy especially if the sun is going down. Designated parking lot.

More of a stroll really. Lots of dry brush, you can see where the fires were. Good exercise trail.

Easy trail, nice if you’re in the area as a regular spot. Wouldn’t travel far to do it.

Just a beautiful walk in aromatic SoCal brush. It's true that a part of the trail going south east, east of the pond has a lot of trash. Aside from that disappointment the grasslands are sublimely beautiful. Lots of rabbits, ducks.

This trail wasn’t the best. A lot of trash everywhere with a few homeless people residing around the trail. If you go be careful and bring bug spray as there was a lot of bugs on the trail as well.

Love this trail! It's really more of a walk than a hike. Very easy and suitable for all ages. Good amount of shade and not crowded. Tons of birds, geese and bunnies!

Lots of families around picnicking in the open grass areas. Not as many large groups on the trails, but happened at least a handful of times over the hour I was there on a Sunday afternoon. Also, there were some weird single path cut out areas with tree coverage where adolescents with skateboards/music and homeless people hang out all along the path. Saw quite a few shopping carts too. Makes you feel a little uncomfortable. This is not a real hike. Would only recommend to people who live within 5-10 min and need a change of pace for your daily walk. Even then, did not feel super comfortable and relaxed unfortunately. A little shocked by the positive reviews as I usually have good luck in trusting all trails users

I would have to say this is one of my favorite trails/parks. From all of the space to relax on the grass to the lake, dirt trails, wild flowers and tons of rabbits and shade this is one of my favorites. Great place to relax, getaway and let go in nature. Well kept bathrooms and plenty of parking.

HikingNo shade

There are trees, but they are not close enough to the path to shade you. It is all unshaded. Also, there is a large part of the path (the eastern loop) where all of the trees have burned away. The western loop is nice, around a little lake. But the rest is not so great.

Nice place to take your kids and there are many families enjoying this place on the weekend which makes it over crowded and loud. A mariachi band was playing the day I went. Also dogs are not allowed in the trail.
