Beautiful hike to warm up before hitting up Halfdome. We started from Taft Point and went clockwise to Sentinel Dome.

Completed this trail on 6/9/18. Fantastic hike. Sentinel Dome was stunning. I highly recommend starting this trail to Sentinel Dome and then taking the loop to Taft Point. The trail from Sentinel Dome to Taft Point was mostly downhill or flat and mostly easy with only a few uphill climbs. Probably would be a bit more difficult if you reverse the direction. The views along the trail from Sentinel Dome to Taft Point were fantastic. It took us about 3 hours with plenty of stops along the way. Highly recommend.

Nice little loop to finish the day, but you should include glacier point

Way better than the out-and-back trails. Take the easy to miss Roosevelt trail along the south rim cliffside from Sentinel Falls and Roosevelt Point to near Sentinel Dome.

Great walk with some excellent views. The only problem is that the loop between sentinel dome and Taft point was covered in debris and had a slightly iffy river crossing in the middle.

A lot of big beautiful bang for your foot-powered buck on this one. A nice work out at a few points, but mostly a lovely stroll, with blow your mind views of all the Yosemite favorites. Great for the whole family. Lots of people on the trail but it didn’t feel too crowded.

This was a great hike for our family of 6. We went in Oct 2017. We started at about 1pm, hiking first to the top of Sentinel Peak. We stayed there and took in the view for about 45 mins. Great view of both Half Dome and El Capitan. Then continued the loop for some great views of the valley floor. Crossed a creek and was surprised to see water this late in the season. Second half of the trail goes through cool rock formations and large trees. Beautiful day with not a cloud in site. A little hazy but still breathtaking views.

I combined several trails. The four mile trail offers great views of the valley, I didn't go all the way to the valley though , I stopped at Union Point and climbed back up. The Pohono trail seems like a slat walk in the woods , nothing exciting - but it leads you to Taft Point ,which offers spectacular views - don't miss it , I spent an hour there admiring the views !!!

We went with intent to do Taft Point/Fissures only but decided our last day needed to be a little more.

Nice views from Sentinel Dome but even better was a secluded point we happened upon when the backside loop made a small fork.

We continued on to Taft/Fissures area. The fissures are ok; you can get a few nice views to the valley below.

There are two points there that offer really nice views.

Glad we did the full loop instead of just the fissures.
