Came right after it rained, so it was wonderfully muddy, and probably much less crowded than normal! Beautiful, easy hike, with spots of tricky footing (in the mud at least).
Rocky, some hills to make it challenging. Scary people swimming beside the no swimming signs, and dogs swimming beside the poison to dogs algae signs. To each their own.
This is a nice cool, easy hike in mid June. The only drawback was that there was LOTS of poison oak. It was hard to avoid.
12/6/19 Gorgeous trail. Muddy after rain. Glad to have boots and poles. Wooded and serene, no one around. Like others, I might rate this trail a “moderate” because the few steep sections, and the many roots and rocks make it a bit technical, even though there’s not much elevation gain.
