quick easy loop with really pretty views. i took detours to see “the view” and the wishing tree. totally worth it :) big parking lot and bathrooms available which is nice too. not that many people for a thursday early evening.
Steady incline, not at all crowded, parking by trailhead. The trail starts with a wide path and eventually narrows to a thin trail that in some parts is a little overgrown.
Great views and not too crowded. Not particularly challenging - slow, steady ascent I thought.
Enjoyed this hike! The first part of the hike is steep and a good cardio workout for sure. The views of Burbank are stunning. There are few benches along the way where you can sit and take in everything. Not a lot of people on this hike. Went around 11:30am on a Saturday morning and it was practically empty. Would do this again!
Really nice hike! Me and my pups loved it, very clean and not that many people around.
Nice trail. Steep incline. Went clockwise and followed map easily. Not too crowded on a Friday morning and most wearing masks. It is definitely steep to start so be prepared with good shoes!
I love this trail because it connects to so many other trails in the Burbank and Sun Valley area. It is a solid, moderate 2.5 mile hike. The incline is steady and all the way up. I hiked the loop clockwise and found the trail easy to navigate. The trail wasn’t overgrown either. Keep your AllTrails app open and you’ll be fine.
This is a really nice hike with a little bit of everything. there are some ruins (old boy scout camp), nice views, and all with some decent elevation gain. The beginning is a little steep, but it is a gradual incline. I did the hike clockwise, and I think that was the right move.
Kinda confusing as to where to go. Nice hike, great spot to get away. There was a good amount of people but most weren’t doing the full trail
Eastern half is a one-lane fire road. Lots of bikers, including some on motorized bikes. The counter clockwise turn back at the loop is easy to miss. If you see the Burbank airport, you missed it. Trail is on the left side of the dirt berm on the upslope. Western half of trail is slightly overgrown single track. Extended loop south of the viewpoint was very overgrown, steep, and loose on the descent down to the water tank. No phone reception in parking lot or bottom of trail.
Quite lovely. Nice trails that with nice inclines. I went early, not much shade then and it’s January. Pretty stellar views!
Nice hike for the winter - all uphill at first (which is brutal in the summer sun). Great views at the end, and then breezy downhill jaunt back to the car. People were courteous with masks.
Gorgeous per usual. Half of the hike is overgrown so I recommend wearing pants so you don’t get scratched up. Also there is a small section of the hike, maybe .1 miles, that’s pretty narrow and soft. One wrong step could send you tumbling down hill so be careful! This canyon has the most beautiful views and is one of my favorites!!
Really lovely. Not too tough for the inclination. Go counterclockwise at every fork. Nice parking lot.
Pretty difficult to see the trail in some sections. Other than that, lots of fun. Little shade but beautiful views.
Very narrow fading path. Wouldn’t go alone again. Lots of bugs. But overall it was a little adventure.
