Heavy foot traffic on this trail. Mountain bikers beware. Nice, scenic, shady.

I was looking for a nice short steep trail for a little workout and this one fit the bill nicely. It had some nice inclines at times and it was only a little over 4 miles. the second half was pretty steep and gave my legs a workout, especially the last climb and I had my 2 year old son in my pack. Park opens at 7am (at least it did today) and parking is $6 on the weekend (and holidays I think). There was a decent amount of people on the trail and everybody was very friendly. Saw several dogs, all were on a leash. We did notice quite a few dog droppings left right in the middle of the trail, so keep an eye out for land mines.

Enjoy expansive views of the valley as you work your way through fields of black mustard on each side of the trail. This is an exhilarating hiking experience!
