Views of Boney Mountain, waterfall, deep canyon walls This hike includes breathtaking views of Old Boney Mountain as you leave Satwiwa cultural center area and a pleasant hike down into the steep Sycamore Canyon. The waterfall at the hikes half way point is this highlight. The waterfall is almost 100 foot high and consists of a number of cascades that tumble over shear rock when water flow is high enough. This is a rather spectacular and secluded area. There is a big flat topped boulder that you can sit on to have lunch and watch the waterfall. Watch out for the poison oak near the waterfall as the area is covered with it! $12 Parking Fee

It was 95 today and dry as a bone. It appeared to be one giant fire hazard also the Chumash center only open on weekends. It was so hot we only did to the Chumash center and back. 2 adults and 2

Hiked to the non existent waterfall today. It was NOT an easy hike. A few sections were easy but most of the hike traversed somewhat steep inclines. Bring more than one water bottle. You'll probably need at least two water bottles for the round trip.

Nonetheless, the hike provides views of beautiful rolling hills and forested ravines.

I quickly came to realize the importance of being able to read a map because I turned a 3 mile easy hike into an 8 mile moderate to difficult hike. However, it was well worth it! As you can tell from my photos, there was plenty to see.

nice trail but maybe for a little older kids. 5 and up would make it easier than 3 and 4s.

So pretty and relaxing!

This was an absolutely beautiful place. So green. It was totally fine for my 6 and 9 year olds to complete. However, we only made it half way to the falls with our 1 and 3 year olds.

Really pretty, everything is green and beautiful. When you reach the creek don't be mistaken! It's not the waterfalls, keep going and eventually you'll be lead straight to the falls.

I hiked this trail today for the first time in several years. This was the first time I've ever been here when there was no water coming down the falls! It was still a good hike but probably should be rated moderate instead of easy.

Some nice views. Waterfall is no more as of this past weekend. Definitely bring a hat. This hike is 3.6 miles...or about a mile over what is a listed according to my track.

Enjoyable hike over a variety of terrain. Little shade. Reliable waterfall even in drought.

Enjoyable hike in mostly open terrain. Found water at the falls even when stream beds were dry.

it was a good time. some trails were marked closed but there were enough to open to make it worth while. parking is 12 bucks which sucker but the breath taking views make up for it. the campgrounds are dog friendly but not the trails because they are all marked as no dogs allowed.

Good hike, and not bad for the family. No water at the falls due to the drought, but there are some decent views along the way. Not very challenging.
