5/17/20 Water during creek crossing is knee level. Removed shoes and crossed barefoot. Its icy cold but i had warm merino socks so it went well. A very good hike with views.

Great short hike especially when the water is flowing in late spring.

It was a beautiful quick hike. Very little elevation change. Regarding creek crossings: At this time of year it’s just a hop over a few stones and not more than 6-10” deep at most - it’s a non issue. The only hard part is the last 100 feet to the waterfall (for a higher view) which is not necessary as the view at level ground was almost as good. Scurrying up the loose rock side was fun but unnecessary.

Wife and I did this today. Great hike. Could potentially be done with younger kids if they have the energy as it is a short hike. However keep in mind the elevation. We were fortunate in that we were only ones on trail. We turned it into nearly 6 miles as we pressed on up to higher meadow. Views were spectacular!

We had to turn back at 1st crossing. Water was too high and fast. Looks promising though. The waterfall can be seen at a distance but we couldn't get there this time around. We will be back more prepared next time.

I wrote the review that say we couldn't get past the first crossing, but forgot to mention it was my dog who couldn't cross the first crossing. We were able to cross, but he could not. I recommend water shoes. Kids and pets may have a lot of trouble crossing.

Super awesome hike. Went the last weekend in June so the snow melt still had the rivers flowing pretty good. Took off the shoes and socks to cross Sardine Creek shortly after starting. It was flowing pretty good, water was about up to the knees. After that crossing the trail has varying terrain and scenery, definitely keeps it fresh and interesting the whole way. As a bonus, there's 3 waterfalls you get to see BEFORE even getting to Sardine Falls. Then your arrival at Sardine Falls is the big payoff. High water flows had this thing flowing great. Thhere's a lot of reward for such a short hike.

Such an awesome short hike. I could feel it got a bit tougher to catch my breath as the elevation is pretty high here, but we made it one dog and one 7 month old baby! Really pretty we came here in September and we were able to cross the little creek.

there yesterday. Couldn't cross a creek which was more than ancle deep and one and a half meters wide which was pretty much at the beginning of the train

Nice short beautiful hike with the reward of dunking under the cold waterfall in a small poot towards the top.

A straight forward hike with a few creek crossings that make it exciting before getting to the payoff - a dramatic waterfall. Getting there is the hardest part but once there you will enjoy the views as well as some Marine sightings.
