Plenty of parking in the overflow lot at 10am. Trail is well maintained and has 1 way signs for Covid (please follow!).. first mile or so was fairly busy but got nice and quiet closer to the camping area. I would rate this a tough moderate.. a lot of big rocks on the trail and some scrambling involved.. I don’t usually have knees issues but am definitely feeling it today. Amazing vistas and beautiful rock formations.
Beautiful trail with a great mix of terrain, from forest to rocky climbs along the mountainside with views stretching to the ocean. Bathrooms open at the main parking lot. Recommend wearing proper shoes with good tread.
Parking was $10 and they preferred using a card to pay. We got there at 8am and it was still too crowded for good social distancing.
Trail was great but too crowded. There was no parking available I had to park half a mile away and walk over to the trail. I started fairly late.. Around 3pm so earlier might be better
Great trails with scenic views of the Santa Cruz mountains, with the sea just peaking out in some areas. There are some technical rocky areas to shimmy and sprawl across at some parts, so be mindful of that. The trail is one way (COVID) so please be aware of what trail you’re walking on, but they’re very clear in which direction to go. Also be respectful of parking and the spaces you park in. It’s common for cars to get ticketed, we saw 4 on the way out today.
Nice hike, lots of green though was disappointed with the water fall.
Crowded. The one-way loop helps but because of it we couldn’t take the detours we were planning on. A beautiful and relatively easy hike and well worth the time, still.
Not very challenging. Good exercise. There are several places that you need to climb a very short distance to go over a cliff like area, but overall is very safe and with shades.
Pretty good hike. The trail has some large rocks in the middle and could be dangerous and scary at parts! Otherwise it’s a pretty good hike, it’s well managed and has a one-way loop.
Really nice trail, plenty of fun and adventure but not challenging. The only thing is this is a pretty narrow trail so hard to keep real social distancing, the Park did the right thing by marking some portions as one way only, however there are quite a lot of people still walking against the traffic... with the canopy in the forest, it’s kinda of like a indoor place with high ceiling, important to keep your masks on since the air droplets are probably not moving as fast as real outdoors :)
