HikingGreat!Rocky

Great hike! There was plenty of shade on most parts of the trail. The waterfall was a little dry during the winter, and the trail was quite rocky. There are a lot of people on the weekends, but distancing usually isn’t too hard. Be sure to come early before the parking lot fills up.

F*ck this trail. First of all due to COVID the entrance is from the big parking lot, not the one showed here. The trail starts ok, lots of bugs but also lots of redwoods. Once you get to the "falls" (which were quite dry when I went) you can't really follow this trail anymore because there's DO NOT ENTER tape all over the place. I decided to backtrack a little and try another way in which sorta worked for a little bit, until the trail got super narrow. The trail is quite dusty and you can't get a good grip, that + the narrowness + the steep sides of the cliffs did not contribute to a good time. Arrived at the beautiful rocks, it was unclear how to proceed. One way was treacherous to the point I couldn't figure out if it was even a trail, another was closed due to plant rehab. I gave up on finding the rest of the trail and went back and finished it counterclockwise, where I've met quite a few ppl ignoring the COVID one-ways and passing me without masks.

This is a Terrible trail, I hiked it during COVID so some parts are closed. It took me a lot of time to find where the trail is. And the last part is not kids friendly

overall it was great but from the lookout point to about halfway the other side it was easy to get lost and parts were closed for plant regrowth

The weather was foggy and damp, which I loved. The vibe was mysterious and quiet since I went on a Friday and rarely encountered anyone. You easily forget how close you are to the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley as you get lost in the leaves. I didn't know about the rocks here, which were cool to explore. They've been weathered by water and have these unique round holes in them. All the trees and rocks were covered in bright green moss, creating a nice contrast to the red leaves that have fallen on the ground. The falls were dried up due to it being autumn, unfortunately. I didn't get to finish the trail due to my schedule, but what I experienced was wonderful. Definitely going to come back soon!

Shady trail. Mix of elevations. Bouldering spots throughout. Parking lot is limited and crazy busy, so get there early.

Really pretty area with tons of sandstone for bouldering and great spots to play and take pictures! Just a little short for me to give 5 stars, and there were a lot of other people around on a Sunday morning.

First to Review

Main trail is nice, cool & Heavily shaded. Trail conditions were damp, narrow and a bit overgrown down along the creek bed. Neat rock features along the way for climbing at Castle Rock and a shot side spur to Goat Rock. Something to do after cross country flight. I hiked here in 2008.
